Check Your VIN

Please use this Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Lookup tool to verify if your vehicle is included as a Subject Vehicle in the proposed economic loss class action settlements with Toyota, Subaru, Mazda, and BMW in a class action lawsuit styled In Re: Takata Airbag Products Liability Litigation, Master Case No. 1:15-MD-02599-FAM.

Important Note 1: Identifying your VIN as a Subject Vehicle via this VIN Lookup tool does not constitute a claim and is not an instruction on your right to file a Registration/Claim Form. This tool is solely for the purposes of determining whether or not your vehicle is included in the Settlement and cannot be used as self-identification or registration.

Important Note 2: Some vehicles included in the Settlement will be recalled at a later date and others may not require a recall. Your receipt of a Settlement Notice does not mean your vehicle is subject to a recall. Please refer to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website, www.safercar.gov, for the latest information about Takata recalls and to determine if your vehicle is subject to a recall.

In order to receive out-of-pocket expenses or residual payment benefits, you must timely file a completed Registration/Claim Form.

For self-identification, you may send a letter with your name, physical address, email address or phone number, and a copy of your vehicle’s registration form clearly showing the make, model, year, and VIN to Auto Airbag Settlement, P.O. Box 3207, Portland, OR 97208-3207. Your correspondence will be reviewed, and the Settlement Notice Administrator will provide a response on whether you are a Class Member.

Vehicles Registered in California: VINs for vehicles registered in the state of California are now included in this VIN Lookup tool (as of Monday, August 14, 2017).
